When my sister and I were little, we'd often spend the night (or week) at Granny and Papa Joe's house. Without fail, we'd be woken up by the sounds and smells of Granny in the kitchen making LOADS of her amazing, fluffy, buttermilk biscuits. In my memories, there would be at least a hundred of them on the kitchen table. She'd pull out every jam and jelly you could imagine and we'd stuff our little bellies till we couldn't eat anymore. I loved her biscuits. She gave me her recipe a long time ago. I doubt that mine will ever compare to hers. But I'll try. Today is her memorial service followed by a pot luck. So I thought it appropriate to bring biscuits. I love you Granny.
12 years ago these crazy kids said “I do” and began the most amazing adventure. In these 12 years we’ve moved 13 times, welcomed 1 amazing little boy, and 2 fur babies, explored 14 countries, watched games at 22 MLB stadiums, lived in 2 countries and somehow got ourselves on an immigration watch list. We’ve formed countless memories and lifelong friendships.
We had no idea what we were getting into, but I’m so glad we made that leap.
Harlan, you have shown me that I can love more than I ever knew. Thank you for putting up with my kind of crazy. You’re an amazing husband and father. Baron is so blessed to have you for a daddy. Happy anniversary and happy Father's Day, my love!
The birthday boy is helping me make decorations for his party! 🎉🎊🎈🎂😍
