We have spent over 30 of the last 72 hours on our feet at Disneyland, and one of us has been sick for two days. #omgconiandsteve @velveetahead

Churros are the official food of Disneyland. Walt Disney first discovered them on a trip he took in 1953 to Mexico City to purchase human skulls for the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. Disney became so obsessed with the churro that he was eventually hospitalized after admitting he'd been subsisting on them alone for months. Upon discharge, he ordered his "foodgineers" to develop versions that could be enjoyed for every meal. The "churrito", the "churrkey sandwich", and the Thai-inspired "spicy beef churr-y" were all complete failures, but the original is still a popular treat. #truedisneylandfacts
