I'm just about fed up with all of this now. Received a phone call this morning to say they want me in tomorrow morning at 8am to have my lung drained again, which is great because they're doing it quickly instead of leaving me hanging around, but I'm just confused as to what's actually happened. Has it accumulated again? Or was it leftover from last time? Either way, still a large amount of fluid is in my lung, and I just want it gone.
Feeling a little bit low. Went for an x-ray today to check and see how much fluid is left in my lung, and it turns out I'm probably going to have to have it drained for a second time. I don't personally think it's filling up again, but more a case of leftover fluid that didn't come out the first time. I kind of expected that, so I'm not surprised, I just didn't want to have to go through the whole process again. Nevermind I don't feel as rough as I did a few weeks ago, I'm still on the mend, just gotta keep being positive. 😊

Back on antibiotics.. went for an ultrasound yesterday, and I was asked if I had trouble breathing, so I mentioned that I had a pleural effusion drained from my lung last week and the guy says to me "yeah there's still a little bit left in there" - great.
