Get to work.
One month in and this 1940s desk is exactly what I was hoping for. It was designed by Paul Goldman as part of a "Plymodern" furniture line, the first of its kind. As beautiful and minimal as the day it was made, 70 years later.
Look what arrived today! Excited to dive into this advanced copy of Building a StoryBrand. The @storybrand_ training I went through last year is easily the most valuable marketing training I've ever seen. #storybrand#marketing
Back to the Kindle.
Accordingly, I've been finishing more books. I miss the smell of the printed page, but care more about the words in a book than the way they're displayed.
Here's a quote from one of them:
"It is not that we have a short life to live, but that we waste a lot of it. Life is long enough, and a sufficiently generous amount has been given to us for the highest achievements if it were all well invested.
But when it is wasted in heedless luxury and spent on no good activity, we are forced at last by death's final constraint to realize that it has passed away before we knew it was passing." - SENECA, On the Shortness of Life
I was sick for part of last week but this email from a Southern friend made it all better.
I put on a beanie and walked downstairs to find both kids putting on their hats in suit. They get even better every day.
