And on Friday we hopped on a bus and ventured out to Teotihuacan. The peak (haha, punny!) of the excursion was sitting atop the Pyramid of the Sun & the Pyramid of the Moon and wondering what life must have been like during those times for the indigenous peoples. One thing's for sure, they must have had strong legs and glutes because those steps were steep! #legday#glutes#alldayeveryday
Yesterday we paid a visit to La Casa Azul where Frida Kahlo lived and passed. There's so much history in those walls, but it's all been so well preserved by the Mexican people who love Frida so dearly. I highly recommend a visit!
PS: I peed at Frida Kahlo's house hehehe (the butterfly tiles are from the restroom). #fridakahlo#feminist#girlpower#staycurious#eyeswideopen#coyoacán#travel
I used my limited español to offer to take a photo for two gentlemen at this fountain. After one of the grandpas explained to me in Spanish how to use his camera I said, "Okay!" And he goes, "Oh you speak English" in perfect unaccented English. DOH! Took their photo, he said thank you and said he liked my shoes....hehehe #travelstory#espanol#fail#ilikenicepeople
The Travel Tradition continues! Tried a couple of things that aren't available at home: Queso Jalapeño Burger and a Queso Pie. Also!, they have self serve condiment bars with pickles, jalapeños, red & green salsas and other sauces 😳 #McDonalds#imlovingit#whenitravel#noregrets
