Every year since we've lived here, I've gone to Wimbledon. What a great sports event, at a great venue, filled with great traditions. Watching Federer on Centre Court was the highlight of the day. #wimbledon
Royal Ascot races today with my lovely lady. And my first time seeing the queen! #ascot
As I looked through these pictures from Derrynane Beach, I noticed that almost every picture had Abby running around like an excited little school girl. The simple joy she emanates as she prances and dances around in the sand is heartwarming. It's amazing how kids can be happy with the simplest of things.
As our trip comes to end and I think about our Ireland adventures, I'm reminded once again that the best moments are rarely those that are heavily scripted (boat tours, guided walks, etc). We still do those. And they are fun. But the strongest memories and moments are where as a family we go explore, learn, and discover... together. All equals, all rookies, all day one-ers. New paths and none of us know the way. The kids often lead the charge and we just go. We work together helping each other cross the streams, or learning the right route up to the ledge, or finding the right rock to step on. Abby's discovery is just as exciting as Sam's. Curiosity. Camaraderie. Team work. Adventure. These are the moments that will live on. #ireland
Ireland is just one big playground. So many places to explore and climb and discover and cause trouble. This fort is decently tall and the two older kids had no fear getting on top and running around. I was constantly trying to make sure I stayed close. They're causing gray hair at such an early age... but I love that spirit of adventure. #yolo#ireland
Dingle is a beautiful seaside village near Kerry. They have a dolphin named Fungie that lives in the Bay, and will feed and do tricks, etc. A lot of the touristic exploits revolve around this one dolphin (boat tours, souvenirs, even statues in the marina, etc). I worry for the day that poor Fungie dies. Hopefully a new dolphin comes. Regardless, it's a very pleasant peninsula/village. #ireland
Cliffs of Moher are beautiful. We enjoyed them from the sea (boat tour) and from above. #ireland
