Every year is a new challenge no matter how many times i do this. It was mentally exhausting for me at least. However, everything pulled through and made a success after months of planning, preparation to the execution. Calling both show and tech cues is a killer. 😱 But i have ppl to thank for this success!
Props to the sound crew for working around a tight schedule and last minute submissions of the music. Lighting crew for the countless nights of tweaking the lights and cueing the different light designs for the parade. To my tech director and manager for ensuring tech aspect of the parade is looked after.
Things wont be moving and made the parade looked seamless without the support of my super duber dedicated colleagues! They made tough times easier to pass by. Laughed out silly things we made to each other. And looking out for each other on details that maybe missed out. Love them much! 🙆🏻♂️ Next would be my beloved production crew! They were the ones that were a major part of success of the parade! Going thru late nights of preparation even though they need not to. Without their dedication, this parade would not have been possible. Love them deep deep! Really hope to see u all and work together again! 🙆🏻♂️ Hats off to the performers, both professional and non professional for their dedication, putting in priceless time and efforts to their training. Watching them perform their hearts out always give me the goosebumps and the heart tears. To know that some of the performers are 70ish and above but yet have the energy of a youth to perform, or even fighting cancer while they looked perfectly normal and perform as if their health r in top form. My heart goes out to all performers, for their dedication and passion!
Got to thank the brainchild of all the performing contingents, the choreographers! Creating movements for the masses is no easy feat, but yet, everyone turned out great! You gave life to the parade through your creative injects and thats what make chingay a one of a kind event!
i hope all my family members and friends enjoyed the parade and i cant thank my family for being so supportive during my busy time! 🙆🏻♂️
Long day finally ended.. 9am to 7.30pm is no joke. Got toasted by the sun, but greeted with hues of sunset to end it off. Grateful for the fine weather, and hope the skies will be kind to us for the next few weeks~ #chingay2017
