Where we're going, we don't need roads (or doctors offices). Dad, husband, entrepreneur, adventure traveler.
It’s a GIRL... who will be surround by a profound love.
The kids ran around the fire chanting, “We’re dudes, we’re like totally dudes,” with their shirts off. I ate cherries and threw the pits in the coals. Steph’s brother is in town and he and Steph made s’mores and we goofed off and relaxed while the sun just never went down. My inbox, a source of constant awareness, slipped into the fire somehow, too. I only noticed that I didn’t notice it. That’s a strong Thursday. Goodnight SF!
A-celebraten the dads! With it being light so long these days we just ate and talked well past bedtime for the kiddos. @trantermx@sarahtranter1
9 years I’ve been with @thingsdaily. Eight married plus one to the day since we met. Of all that I could say, what’s surfacing for me right now is this: she brings this quiet love to the smallest moments. She’s rare and wonderful and a match for my outrageous self that only God could have designed. You’re new and good and loved. Thanks for being and being with me.
We were always hoping she'd have fewer teeth! She pulled it out on her own, "Didn't even hurt!" She said. What a gal!
What a month looks like at one second a day. Also... some news to announce!
Night descends. Our @orukayak s opened up and allowed us to sleep right on the coral reef. I've never felt quite so alone in all my life. This place is otherworldly, straight out of Interstellar. We ended up using the sat phone to call @benjaminsteed to verify high tides to make sure we wouldn't drift away. There was only a few inches of coral above the water, so we knew it'd be close. In the end, we had water flow beneath us all night, but Ben's data was good and I actually slept.
Spent the last week kayaking and spear fishing 60 miles off the coast of Belize around Glover's Reef. This was dinner! We also had these really clever @orukayaks that fold, which allowed us to open them up and sleep in them, nestled against the old coral. A bit scary, but another unforgettable experience with my daring, amazing friend @davismsmith.
I'm thankful everyday. And I reverence her life everyday. But today I post about it. To the one, and the ones, who give and give and give to the ones who take and take and take, I reverence you. Your patience echoes beyond your space and your family. You are building something so important and it's my honor to build this with you as your partner. Just to be included is something I'm so grateful for. I'm with you, @thingsdaily. I see you. I love you. Happy Mother's Day.
If you haven't seen it yet, @thingsdaily has been posting videos at #mythingsdaily of one second videos, one for each day of the month. This is April's.
Just about 6 years ago. We had been in Brazil for about 5 months, Baby.com.br was still 2 months away from launching and Harper was 9 months old. Isn't it funny how certain things stick out in your brain? Entire months can slip away into the void, while some afternoons come engraved. We had been living in a hotel since moving to São Paulo and this, this was our apartment complex. Finally. We were so excited. We also moved down there alone and this picture also marked the end of that as well. Thanks @davismsmith for such a memberable Sunday afternoon. And thanks @thingsdaily for being you and loving me and leading the way through all these adventures.
