Hitting the halfway mark in Ramadan sure brings some realisation to us that the blessed month is slipping away too fast.
Ramadan is a month to strengthen our relationship with Allah swt. How is you relationship with Allah today? Have you flipped through His set of love letter for you, reciting each verse and trying to comprehend each surah? Do you ask for your heart's content in your duas?
Each one of us have a different way to get closer to Allah swt. It's not too late to start if you have yet to do so. Here at Ta'ali Henna, we would be discussing the ways on how we can get closer to our Rabb, in the calm and relaxed atmosphere of an all-ladies environment inshaAllah.
Not too late to join us! Register here: tinyurl.com/taalihenna (bio in our link!) #RamadanWithRaudhah
we hit the halfway mark today. i talked to a few friends recently and most of them told me how they felt a little sad that this Ramadan feels different, that they just "don't really feel it", "maybe I didn't prepare enough". •
to me, each Ramadan is different. every year when it comes, we try to prepare as much as we can for its arrival, but during Ramadan itself, perhaps some of us are burning out from all the terawih, night prayers, shifted body clock, iftar feasts, etc etc. then today at the halfway mark, "what, we're already halfway?!" •
but that is okay. we are only human, and to be feeling sad about not getting the most out of this month is actually a good thing, because you realise it. you realise that actually, you can do so much more! and let me tell you – you can still reap the rewards of this blessed month. half more month to go, and yes it will fly past us but at least now you are more conscious of it. •
and let me tell you another thing – improving yourself and being a better muslim doesnt stop at the end of Ramadan. in fact, you should continue on, to increase the consciousness of yourself and your faith, to always improve day by day, until we meet the next Ramadan, inshaAllah.
we are all a work of progress – let's always move forth, whether light of heavy. till we meet the end of Ramadan, inshaAllah. here we go, bismillah 🌸💪🏼 • (P/S: thanks to all of you, we managed to collect approx SGD250 from all the #RamadanWithLis totes!!! awhile ago we made the transfer to the tahfiz school in Melaka – may Allah reward all of you for supporting us in this cause. All orders made in Ramadan will be channelled for #RamadanWithLis, orders are still open ok! inshaAllah we will make another transfer from your purchases again at the end of Ramadan)

"What are your goals for this Ramadan?" My teacher asked.
In my head I thought, "Ahh, perhaps let's TRY again to at least finish the Quran. Try. "
Then he continued, "Would you aim to finish the Quran 3 times in Ramadan? Or... aim to stand up for night prayers in all 30 days? How bout giving charity everyday?" Silence.
Ramadan comes only once a year and as much as we anticipate it, by the time it reaches us, we'd have lost touch with our inner spiritual feelings we had last Ramadan and its always back to square one.
I know we always try our best but let's make this the best one yet, inshaAllah 🌸 Here's to the final Jumaah in Syaaban 🌙 Jumaah mubarak! Allahumma ballighna Ramadan... ❤️ #RamadanWithLis#ramadan1438🌙
With 3 days more to Ramadan, what have you prepared for this blessed month? Don't worry, it is never too late to start!
Here are some things you can do to prepare:
1. Plan your iftar and sahur meals in advance so that you can save time in planning what to eat and actually being able to prepare for them in advance (eg: buy groceries or ingredients needed)
2. Set aside time to recite the Quran, aim to finish all 30 juzuks in 30 days inshaAllah. It works differently for everyone because of our schedules. You can take 45mins per day to finish one juzuk, or take 10 mins after each fardh prayer. You can refer to @crefazdesign's Quran challenge for a guide on the pages to recite each day!
3. Night prayers are one of the things you can try this year if you havent been doing it. Most local mosques offer congregational night prayers during the final 10 days of Ramadan – perhaps you can take this chance to mosque-hop!
Final days of Syaaban before Ramadan reaches, inshaAllah. Allahumma ballighna Ramadan!
