While @jimmiejohnson spends most of his time on four wheels as a NASCAR driver, between races he's often on two as an avid cyclist. Today he finished his qualifying lap and we met up for a ride. Cycling is such a great way to meet new people and make new friends. Thanks for coming out Jimmie!
Today I went live from Vidcon on the @instagram account with @lizakoshy. Thanks to our new post-live feature you can watch the live video for 24 hours. Tune in to see @lizakoshy and I tour the Instagram Creator Lounge and talk about the convention!
Today is World Refugee Day, a day to honor the strength and courage of the millions of refugees around the world, a sentiment advocated by Iraqi-Romanian photographer Diana Zeyneb Alhindawi (@dianazeynebalhindawi), pictured here. Diana was born in Moldova, Romania in 1979 to a Romanian mother, and an Iraqi father whose family had fled from the Saddam Hussein regime. Her father found himself also unwelcome under the Ceausescu regime, so her family ended up living briefly in Syria, then in a refugee camp in Serbia, before receiving asylum in Canada and finally settling in the United States. After a period of service as an humanitarian aid worker in places like East Timor, she now works as a photographer in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, documenting the longstanding conflicts and crises that have plagued the region. You can learn more about Diana and her work on @instagram. Photo by @grifftapper
Happy Father's Day @doug!!! Here's to the guy who taught me to follow my passions and live life to its fullest. Speaking of which, this is us zooming around in the #cobra this morning for a Father's Day spin!

This past weekend I was visiting Boston for my friend's wedding and I decided to go for a ride down memory lane. I biked from my hotel out to Concord to see my high school. It's still just as beautiful as I remember it!
Yesterday, LA Mayor @ericgarcetti visited Instagram HQ to talk to our team about how Instagram helps him connect with Angelenos, strengthen relationships within the LA community, and share his love for his city with the world. It was inspiring to meet Mayor Garcetti because he is one of the most active elected officials on Instagram. We love seeing how he captures his city and its people in his photography and shares his life as Mayor with our community. I’m excited to see how his leadership and hard work continues to shape Los Angeles.
Thanks to Vice Admiral Ted Carter and the United States Naval Academy for hosting me last week in Annapolis. I learned a lot about how the USNA thinks about innovation and leadership, and I was inspired by how they pay tribute to their rich history with traditions. One of their traditions is Senior Capstone Day where seniors show off their engineering projects. My favorite project was by a group of students who built an F1 style race car from scratch (pictured here). It was inspiring to meet this next generation of leaders. I learned so much and I can't wait to bring back lessons of leadership, innovation and tradition to IG.
Last night @Nicole and I attended the #metgala with my cofounder @mikeyk and his wife @kaitlyn - every now and then us Silicon Valley folks like to hang up our hoodies and throw on a tux. You can watch my story for more behind the scenes fun!
My favorite part of the week is when our entire company comes together for our weekly Q&A. @mikeyk and I talk about important moments of the week, small teams present projects and then we take questions from all IG employees. This weekly event allows us to have a culture of transparency and openness and I believe it makes us a better company. This Friday was the first time we ran Q&A from our NYC office. It was lots of fun and I can't wait to come back!
It was so much fun going live with @theashleygraham today at Instagram HQ. We discussed her new book and kindness on Instagram. Thanks for dropping by Ashley!
