Founder of Eluded Coupe. I travel the world to eat and drink at the top 100 restaurants and bars. I have no home but the restaurants and bars I visit.
Zero sleep the night before in Cuba, 12 hour layover at the Mexico City airport, and then my hotel in San Francisco for another 12 hour layover before my flight to Singapore was overbooked. So the only thing to do is eat the problems away. #16hourflight#whoneedssleep
Two weeks of birthday celebrations with some of my best friends though Mexico City, Varadero, and Havana was a hectic booze fueled ride that I won’t soon forget. Thank you all for a proper 30th!
I may have been scammed into buying a couple bottles of rum for $20 but I did get a tour of the national university, a rum factory, drinks at “Fidel’s” university home, and a good amount of banter from two maybe students. Worth it.
My favorite park in the world; mostly due to the amazing amount of dogs of every breed being walked in large groups. #futurecareer#futurehome
Nowadays home feels like 20 million people, horns blaring, scooters scooting, and yells in a language I barely understand. But I need to remember that this is where I came from and was once the only home I knew.
11 years ago I graduated high school from this stage. I can still smell the patchouli oil, cigar smoke, bath and body works perfume, and cheap vodka. It’s humbling to be back.
Oaxaca you absolutely stole a bit of my heart; a heart I previously thought was owned by Mexico City. Mezcal in the afternoons and evenings, great food all day, walking the old streets in-between, and some of the most relaxing people anywhere. The afternoon roof pool and random parades outside the hotel where I’d lovingly get accosted by oversized dolls added to the romance of it all. See you again soon mi amor. #🇲🇽isthebest
My gringo heart will always have a place for Taco Bell’s “Mexican” pizza but this tlayuda is insanely good. The background music that can only be described as the Daniel Day Lewis movie soundtrack compilation in pan flute also adds immensely to the experience.
