Chicago: Founder Live Like Roo Foundation|Volunteer to save homeless dogs|*judge-free zone*|executive producer for a sports network #LiveLikeRoo
Oh hey girl heyyyyy. The best hello.
I am blown away and honestly in tears. A group of 60-70 kids and some truly amazing and patient camp counselors organized a car wash today at South Barrington Park District. That helps us so so so much and I was so honored to spend some time there this morning.
Teaching kids the importance of giving back is so crucial for our future and this is truly an amazing example of that.
Thank you so much to Kally and Wendy for organizing and for being so supportive of what we do, always.
From the bottom of my heart-thank you.
Get to the car wash! There is lemonade. 61 west penny road south barrington!
Just tears. This kind of note makes the heartache and stress worth it. Thank you Annie. "Sarah/@crispchicago,
I'd like to start off by saying Thank You for all that you do for animals, namely dogs. I honestly don't remember how I started following @livelikeroofoundation on FB and IG, but your foundation has left such a big imprint on my heart. Because of you and your love for dogs, we now have our new dog Roscoe.
We lost our beloved Brasco 9 months ago, and were absolutely heartbroken. I follow LLR, and then was introduced to an organization called CRISP. I also listen to your podcasts and was wowed by Dawn, from @luluslockerrescue , and her compassion for black, old and hard to adopt dogs.
I constantly send pics of dogs to my fiancé, and he would keep saying "I'm not ready!". Well, one day I sent him the following photo, of a 16 yo male dog that was relinquished by his "family"
I didn't think much of it and completely forgot about it. A few days later, my finance asked me about this 16 year old dog, and my heart skipped a beat.
Well, needless to say, after working with the amazing volunteer Mari (and his incredible foster Ren) with Lulu's Locker Rescue, we now have our baby Senior boy, Roscoe. We can't thank you enough for helping put us on this path to find our new baby, to join our other human 11 month old baby:) It's hard to put our sentiments into words, and I've mulled over what to say. We are just smitten with Roscoe and feel like we have won the dog lottery.
Annie, Jeff and & Charles"

We created an Account for @thebookerfund so follow us there. Also ralphieee!
We are sponsoring Ralphie. He desperately needs a foster via @bowwowrevolution ! More: Meet RALPHIE. Raphie is a 5 year old long hair dachshund that was surrendered to a local shelter when his owner moved into a nursing home. Ralphie is the perfect gentleman and is the sweetest little guy. He is crate and house trained, great with other dogs and loves everyone. When we took Ralphie to get vaccines and medical care... we found a mass. Further tests have made our fears reality.... Ralphie has CANCER (adenocarinoma). Ralphie deserves to be showered with love and given the amazing life of every dog; we are committed to fully sponsoring him as a Golden Years Dog with the help of the Booker Fund. Ralphie is in need of a home where he can live out his life and will remain under the care of Bow Wow Revolution. The cancer has spread already into the lymph system but currently Ralphie is getting medication to remain comfortable and is not showing advanced signs of the disease. If you are willing to give Ralphie a fospice home and take him to our vet when necessary... please email us at email@example.com for an application. We are committed to giving Ralphie an amazing life for as little or as long as he has. If you are interested in making a donation toward his care... donations can be made to firstname.lastname@example.org via paypal. Please share his story!
We love you Ralphie
"I was broke, paying my own mortgage and totally screwed." I was able to break down a solid wall that @onetailatatime Director/Co-Founder @radheather puts up, but it was worth it. A VERY candid podcast today.
