Story time - when I was 16 (I think) my Dad gave me this knife and told me that my Grandfather made this for me. He wasn't a knife maker by any stretch of the imagination but he enjoyed tinkering and created this. The blade was dull and he used some cheap JBweld type of stuff to glue the tang to the wood handle and so it fell apart fairly quickly. But I never got rid of it. It's always gone with me. Well I got the urge to take a fixed blade to Scout camp in a few weeks and I remember this thing and decided to finally fix it. After a bunch of sanding, staining, epoxy, a solid pin through the handle, and a full edge reprofile (it had nothing before) I have my Grandpa's knife back. 👍 I'm so happy. It's not pretty but it means a lot to me. Just wanted to share.
