HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my younger but forever taller sister. Words can't describe my proud sis vibes. Who knew we'd grow up to be wanderers, have such deep love for the church, and be business minded...love from Seattle to Kansas. Enjoy this next year of journeying!!! And of course miss you always.
Reminiscing of Disney days, a classic throwback Thursday move - especially today.
Nerd for life you guys. ✌🏼
I feel comfortable in black - Johnny Cash
Least favorite color, but honestly who can resist vibrancy amongst constant grey days?
Hello May 1st, here's to summer...MAYbe.
We await sunbeams

When the sun stays awhile for Easter.
Church today was solid, sharing the story of Jesus' interaction with Martha in Lazarus' death. Martha is extremely relatable in her words: if you had been there, my brother would not have died.
How many times do we feel God is not there for us? How many times do we fixate on what is aching us or what is aiding us in this world? Jesus balances the temporal and seen with the spiritual and eternal. He offered Martha a theological perspective while also reacting in an emotional, human way by weeping - showing both care and empathy alongside truth/everlasting hope.
We often fixate within our world on the temporal life so intensely - and yet, there is so much more life beyond what we cling to. Jesus in this story (John 11:17-35) gently but honestly offers the balance of living within the now and what is to come to Martha.
And Jesus ultimately faced what was to come, creating anew our eternity. For He is risen.
