Everyone knew I was obstinate on making a trip up Bunkers Del Carmel, and we made the best decision ever to do so amidst our ridiculously tight schedule. Nothing can prepare you for the view you're about to witness, and it was one of the most breathtaking experiences ever. No photo can capture how much this place will move you 😭
Situated right smack in the centre of the city and at 262 meters above the sea level, this abandoned civil war bunker is Barcelona's best kept secret, and it offers THE best panoramic 360º view over the whole city of Barcelona.
If there's only one place I can go back to in Barcelona? It has to be Bunkers Del Carmel, at sunset or at sunrise. 🌄
The basílica that keeps building 🏗; Sagrada Família, magnum opus of the late Gaudí.
Set to finally be completed in 2026 on the centenary of his death, after some 144 years.
Gaudí, affectionately referred to as "God's Architect", expected his cathedral to take 2 centuries to construct, and had once famously exclaimed, "My client is not in a hurry."
Caught the Barcelona Derby on our 2nd night there; great atmosphere! RCD Espanyol 0-3 FC Barcelona. ⚽️
Also just extremely pleased to be able to witness one of the most phenomenal players of our era in person. And even though he wasn't exactly at full throttle, @leomessi was still a exhilarating sight to watch. Nothing ostentious, just a flurry of legs, body feints, a deft touch or two and a deadly change of pace that allows him to leave defenders in the dust. Unstoppable. #GOAT
