These #kalt reloadable film canisters work pretty well. Got them at B&H for a little north of $1 a piece. Feels too cheap compared to the IXMOO and Nikon F canisters that I’m used to, but if you’re not using an early Leica M or Nikon F/F2 there’s no other choice, so this will have to do. These Kalts fit into Leica III cameras too but they’re microscopically bigger so requires a bit of fiddling to get into the small #barnack film chamber. Within the canister, the film ends gets attached to the plastic spindle using 3M magic tape - and it took a few tries to get it right - first few forays resulted in detached film inside the film chamber. No fun.
Anyway, reloadable canisters = cheap way to shoot in a world where film prices are always going up by the month.
#UN54 is a film made by Orwo. I like what I see so far, so I’m using it more nowadays.
