This is literally all that's left from Woody's 3 piece breast and wing El Pollo Loco meal. #heeatsthebones
Woody Brown's last day of high school; he reached out for Mary's arm to share the final walk together. Emotional day; tomorrow, Graduation Day, we'll be basket cases. What this guy has accomplished....imagine not having the ability to speak; reduced to communicating by pointing to letters on an iPad. Being smart, but not having anyone believe it because you were challenged in communicating it. Being told you couldn't handle an age appropriate academic curriculum - and not only proving them wrong, but doing so in the highest rated high school in California. Mary Brown navigated these uncharted waters with Woody every step of the way - through 6 crappy rental houses, so that we could remain in the district, and assembling a team around Woody who believed in him as much as we do - lead by his aide and life-long friend Sal Battaglia. It's the well earned end of one improbable journey, and the scary beginning of another. Congratulations Woody Brown! You're earned that diploma and the respect of everyone who's had the privilege of knowing you. You are a rock star!
