The Gunflint Territory. After spending a day canoeing this wonderful wilderness, having our paddles break the blue surface of the lakes crossed by Native Americans for thousands of years, or hearing the loon echoing in the distance, I can't help but wonder if we can see, hear, smell, touch the same as those voyagers before us. There is a timelessness here. A stillness of spirit. Fortunate to be able to experience this ageless wildness.
