A day of gardening, so lunch came out of the ground. All the green and yellow courgettes that were growing, here cooked gently with chilli and garlic, then mixed into a salad with spelt, lemon, spring onion, parsley and feta. Bosh
At Fingle Bridge you can walk alongside the (very full and fast at the moment) River Teign or you can climb a couple of hundred metres to the top of the gorge to look out over Dartmoor. We did both, and this was taken about halfway up.
We discovered a long series of pools and waterfalls hidden away near Peter Tavy, where we'd had a brilliant three-course lunch a little earlier. If you look closely at the end you can see Gem absorbed in the wonder of nature ⛰🌿☔️🌊🦁
No-one likes a rainy day on holiday. Luckily today was rescued by a trip to a castle and its brilliant gardens.
The cat is called Charlie and I'm beginning to think he's the true owner of this cottage.
