Some of my favorite memories watching the sunrise/set somewhere far. Every new day brings new reasons to be grateful. No filters.
Gatlingburg, TN: Early morning sunrise from the loft bed in our cabin.
Lake Geneva, WI: Walking on the pier with a friend, a great conversation about life.
Little Village in Chicago: 1. A winter day in the neighborhood I grew up in. Going back after my family no longer lives there. 2. Sunset at Villapalooza.
Colorado: 1. Walking out from the hotel and realizing we'd been driving in mountain sight throughout the night. First time we'd seen mountains. 2. The sun beginning to set as we drove over the Rocky Mountains for the first time.
Marquette Park in Chicago: The alley behind my home for over five years.
Medellin, Colombia: 1. The sun setting as we rode the metrocable for the first time. Listening to the other passengers talk about their daily trips on it as we cling to the sides whenever the wind makes the box shift. 2. The sun had just set and there was a bat who kept dive bombing at us. When you go from admiring local wildlife to dying of laughter/fear.
Grand Tetons, WY: One of my favorite moments from our trip to Wyoming was seeing the sun set as we made it to the Grand Teton National Park.
