Was itching to try out the Duchess's cookbook. Josh and I decided to make a savoury pie so we made the tourtière! I've always had trouble with recipes that end up in flakey layers or bread recipes but this cookbook is so helpful. There's pictures all along the way to show you what the dough should look like and little helpful tips too. It came out a success this time!

Craving Seorak's Spicy Rice Pop (deep fried rice cake) and Kraken Cider. We went for their unlimited chicken -- Gangnam Soy and Spicy. The garlic soy flavour is good! We were way too full after. The drink tasted like cola slushie. We also tried their Melon Drop and Aloe-Ha. Melon Drop tastes like Melona bar!! πŸ˜‹

We chose to make our own pizza 😊. Can't really see all the stuff I chose under the Arugula but it was good hahaha. 
Mine: traditional crust, truffle Parmesan sauce, Gorgonzola, roasted mushrooms, caramelized onions, shaved potato, capicolla, Parmesan cheese, arugula, prosciutto, topped with balsamic reduction and honey. 
Josh's: organic whole wheat crust, truffle Parmesan sauce, fior di latte, roasted mushrooms, caramelized onions, artichoke hearts, bacon, olives pickled red onions, basil, prosciutto, and topped with balsamic reduction and honey. 
It tastes delicious but I think next time I'll choose a different cheese. Gorgonzola tastes good but gets to be too much after two slices because it is so strong and creamy haha.

I am very lucky that I have a bf that has a great palette for tastes and is great at cooking. Because he can make me a delicious Valentine's Day dinner πŸ˜ŠπŸ’•. I don't even know how to describe the chicken. But it was wonderful with the citrus marinade. Roasted veggies, couscous made with some of the chicken drippings, some pan fried mushrooms, and spices. And our pear and almond salad with a citrus-honey vinaigrette sprinkled with some parmesan. Didn't have any white wine on hand so just had a red. Gotta love a guy who can cook, right? πŸ˜‰πŸ˜˜

🐷🐷🐷 piggies for life ✌🏼 Set up KBBQ at home for bf to celebrate his new job πŸŽ‰. Proud of him as always. Some banchan - kimchi, pickled radish, spicy bean sprouts, soy sauce honey potatoes. Some meat of course.. can't do without that kalbi for KBBQ haha. Tried out some Wagyu beef too. @joshnguyen.io said it tastes like cheese πŸ€”πŸ€”. #dietruiner #imthereasonhegainsweight #worthit

We made tom yum goong today. Totally satisfied our craving. We made a few substitutions though. Used super thick noodles because we like the texture of that more. Instead of oyster mushrooms we tried enoki because... who doesn't like enoki LOL. I made my bowl super hot. Was sweating bullets but it was so good.

Been craving Thai curry a lot lately. Because of @joshnguyen.io 's obsession with Mark Weins, we've been looking at a lot of Thai food videos/recipes. Finally got some to satisfy my craving. Got some Money Bags for appetizer too. Definitely want to try making my own red curry or green curry some time. Everyone already knows that if I cook I like to make almost everything from scratch though lol so I'm nervous lol.

Got some Money Bags for appetizer too. Definitely want to try making my own red curry or green curry some time.
