tuesday walks end in cocktails, whiz burger, and catching up on some reading with the little louie monster. perfect.
lately i've been obsessed with this building.
today i got to hang out with 30 of *our most amazing customers* and listen to them, share what we do, exchange stories, talk about the hard stuff, celebrate the wins, and hear about how they are each bringing (awesome, motivated, real) people together to do good things. i'm exhausted and i need a cocktail like nobody's business... but seriously. i am the luckiest to know these folks. 4 1/2 years ago when i randomly sent an email through angelist, i couldn't have imagined that this could be the result.
as soon as this week's @mightynetworks marathon is over, mama's got a new project to work on. it's time to shoot film again this summer in the city.
100/100 // i got the idea for today's (final! what?!) tiny painting while talking to an incredible artist last night about synethesia. in other words, the fact that for my entire life i've associated every note of the musical scale with a specific color. it didn't dawn on me until yesterday that i should paint the colors i see. so here, for today's very last contribution to #the100dayproject, i'm sharing the colors of the musical scale that i see for a small segment of notes—beginning with middle c, traveling up the scale, and breaking off after a full octave. although i don't need it necessarily, this required a lot of running back and forth to my piano just to be sure.
what a fun adventure, and thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your encouragement and kind words. not sure if you'll see any more of these here, but if you're around let's grab a beer sometime and bring our paintbrushes and some paper to play. #100daysofwatercoloradventures#the100dayproject
99/100 // kind of dumbfounded that i've managed to do this for all of these days. also, i am not very good at hurry up and wait. maybe in my future i'll try for some crazy multilayered-let-it-dry-overnight goodness, but that day is not today. #the100dayproject#100daysofwatercoloradventures
