The finale of last night's #Canada150 fireworks at Harbourfront. What an amazing show! Loves how countless cars jut pulled over on the side of the Gardiner to stop and watch, and the symphony of shouts, claps and car horns blaring that followed.
O Canada; you don't look a day older than 149. Let's continue to uphold the values that make us so great: inclusiveness, generosity, quiet judgement and, of course, humility 😜. We have a lot to be proud of, but let's not get complacent. While a lot of the rest of the world has started to retreat inwards, let's not let our differences divide us. Today is Mother's Day AND my dad's 60th (😱😱😱) birthday! Celebrating the best and baddest parents anyone could have. I'm so thankful to both of you for teaching me how to be strong, confident, smart, kind and hilarious ☝️.
Beef marrow rolls. Good, but I was expecting the lusciousness of actual bone marrow. I still prefer #Hanmoto.
Because I'm kind of emotionally repressed, it's taken a while for me to communicate that on Sunday, while I was in London, my grandmother (Mama) passed away. While we weren't especially close and I'm sure I didn't spend nearly as much time with her as I should have, she was always a presence in my life (be it silently or otherwise). We finally laid her to rest today. While on Sunday her soul reunited with my grandfather, who passed 24 years ago, when I was 4/5 years old, she has now physically been reunited with him. Until we meet again 🙏❤️.

Fml this was delicious: impossibly lightly battered and fried beech mushrooms, coated with seaweed powder, served with a golden smoked egg yolk sauce. Orgasmic.
