Finally get to clock some good distance since getting #lunasandals still finding e sweet spot on the lacing though.
#msig2017 My first ever trail race, and was baptized by the rain mud ponding and sweat (fortunately less the blood and tears) oh well, maybe a little tears because the 50k race got cut short due to lightning risk.
However, my inexperienced and underestimation was kinda bailed out by shortening of the race course too :/ haha. But once your went through the mud bath you won't even want to smell the smooth road (quote by my uncle) well said!
Had so much fun in trail running. Its was so intense that a little trip over the rocks, strikes fear in me to keep 101% focus and on my toes. Thanks for opening a brand new door and I will definitely be embarking onto the new running adventure!
#throwback last month at keypower sports Singapore sales, me being cheapskate bought 1 set of running singlet and finisher tee at $5 each. And since it's the 2015 Newton Challenge 32km finisher tee. One must finish the race to earn the finish tee. There was no excuse even if I bought it a cheap price.
Morning run is always a struggle to get up. Monday holiday was an extra day for rest so that makes Sunday a perfect day to long run.
Weather forecast checked, no rain. Wash up, have breakfast. Packed my gears and headed out. Weather was awesome for the first 3 hours. Then dark clouds, thunder, lightning, drizzle and heavy down pour. (Aww. Memories of Brunei training in the jungle. The love for the rain for every infantier (Chong sua siao)). From sun to rain to sun. Was at 29km when I reached back my house estate and I wasnt ready to give up the goal to complete 32km. After going through the rain, it makes it even painful to give up when its only last 3km away ya. So additional rounds about the estate to get it done, drenched and dusted.
I'm really excited for #msig2017
