Cars, cameras, and popcorn in the morning.
Studying at Dawson College, Montreal.
Mt. Fuji, while travelling somewhere between 150-200 mph on the Shinkansen.
(2/2) Once we found our location, the shoot went somewhat smoothly. I say somewhat because the -25 degree weather was killing all my batteries and messing with my equipment. @its_big_nick must have hit the rail 20 times before 1:30pm, and half of those times only one or neither of my speedlights fired. I never figured out the reason, but I assume both the speedlights and my triggers were well below their proper operating temperatures.
Nick was a beast though, and he kept hitting the rail until I got the shot.. er.. well, until the speedlites ceased functioning anyway. Next year let's do it again, but let's pick a warmer night!
(1/2) Just before leaving for Japan I did my first ever urban shoot with @its_big_nick and with the help of @mrjayholleyofficial. The rail I had planned to shoot had become unskiable because of rain the day before, and by chance we found the perfect spot while turning around in a parking lot.
Our time in Japan went by so fast! There were a lot of car-related things that I wasn't able to do due to the fact that I was with school, as well as having time and money restrictions, so I'm already planning my next trip back!
Help me fund it by booking a shoot this summer! 😉
More Japan stories to come!
Today we leave Japan with around 24hrs of travelling ahead of us. Plenty of time to finally organize and edit the 1500 photos I've taken. 🚅✈️
Car spotting in Tokyo! You can see so many cars here by just roaming the downtown streets. Shibuya crossing and Akihabara are known for shopping, but I highly recommend them for car spotting as well. And you can also find some gems hidden in the alleys.
Some shots from a little walk near the hostel on the first morning. There's two things that surprised me about Tokyo: One, it's very clean, and very organized. And two, people are silent on the subway trains, and much quieter in most places than in North America. Two things that I'll definitely miss when I leave. I have a lot more content coming soon, so stay tuned!
Finally got a chance to sit down today and get some editing done. Tokyo is amazing, I never want to leave, but for now, here's a couple shots from our layover in Dallas.
