I'm a squinty bald person with a big beard and mustache, this is the face I have to make for goofy face recognition apps to find me
Accidentally went to Oregon...
Went to Smith River today for a fishing communities meeting put on by the Fish & Game Commission
As a picky eater I still find oysters suspicious as a food source, but I'm getting braver...
Dangermuffin used to run away if you made eye contact with her at a great distance... Now I have to step over her to leave the house... It would appear that we're all the way adopted now
Went for my first bay swim in a long time last night. We swam against the tide from the north end of Woodley Island past the Adorni Center, and then rode the tide back to the Samoa Bridge. #swumboldt
Experiencing Shelter Cove for the first time... It's rugged, secluded, and beautiful
In the mid-90s there was talk of possibily relocating the Cape Mendocino Lighthouse to Eureka. While researching in some files from the parks department I found fun polaroids of potential sites with cut out photocopies of the lighthouse pasted in. Ultimately it landed in Shelter Cove, but I enjoy the ingenuity of a photoshop-less parks crew trying to find the best place to drop a historic lighthouse.
I think Dangermuffin lives in the front yard now... I just need to coax her to hang out near my porch so I have someone to hang out with during study breaks...
Went full tourist and took a jetboat ride... We even saw a bald eagle hanging out and doing eagle stuff
Explored the park across the river from my hotel and was treated to a gosling parade in the process
Hanging out in Grants Pass this week, digging that I can see both the pool and the Rogue River from my patio
